The Intergroup Institutions Committee cooperates with the many institutions in the Baltimore area by arranging meetings in prisons, detention centers, detoxification units and hospitals. The Institution Committee secures sponsors for such meetings, and publishes a monthly rotating schedule of dates and times for groups to participate. The Institutions Committee also purchases AA literature for the inmates and patients in these institutions. This committee, which meets on the third Friday of every month, is always open to members who would like to learn more and become involved.
